Keep an Eye on the Evening Sun
The low sun provides a very pleasing warm light and does cast fantastic shadows. This shot is from Nyksund in the north of Norway. Way above the arctic circle. The “human interest” is placed centrally in the image, which sort of breaks with the best known composition rule – the rule of thirds.

Breaking the Surface
This is taken from above, just before she is breaking the surface. The image is shot on a boat holiday in Turkey. Kind of a bittersweet memory- the same group of women were on the same boat on the very same date in 2001.
